  1. Think you for providing a very in-depth knowledge of how to set up a website. In the past I have set up many websites, but for some reason their functionality has not been as well as is usually needed out here.

You seem to have laid out exactly what is needed to make a good website.I see that you are promoting a place to build a free website, I checked it out and it looks perfect for what I’m looking to do.Thanks for the great article.

    1. Your so welcome! I’m glad this helped you set up your website…
here is a free video course that goes more in depth and walks you through setting everything up. http://build.christinaspohr.com/

  2. Interesting post. Thanks for sharing all of the good info. Not a lot of sites or posts that go into this sort of subject do it like you’ve done it, with clear, illustrated, step-by-step instructions. But you’ve gotten me curious about domains. Do you have to own a domain to get a web site set up? If not, is still a helpful thing to do? Does setting up a domain cost very much? If I use a GoDaddy (or GoDaddy, itself), does it cost much? Does domain ownership tie in directly with site hosting? Sorry about all the questions, but you’ve spurred on my curiosity. Again, thanks for the post.

    1. Questions are great! I welcome them! 🙂
I do try to give as much visual content as possible… this is how I learn best myself… I’m glad you found it helpful.

As for domain names.. you will have a domain name given to you.. it will say (yourname).siterubix.com or you can always pay for one and it will be (yourname).org or .com or .net …
It depends some are pricey and some aren’t typically you shouldn’t be spending much.
You can purchase one on Godaddy… but through Wealthy Affiliate you can also purchase your domain name… and it will automatically hook up to your website. Typically you have to pay for site hosting from other places.. but with Wealthy Affiliate site hosting comes with your website 🙂
Overall it’s easiest to purchase and set up your website on WA using their platform siterubix… then you don’t have to worry about hosting and you have customer service support if something goes wrong with your site.

      Does this answer your questions?
